My Review.......

Running a hot bath she looks over to the bed to look at her babies (aka dogs). The oldest, Rosie (a Jack Russell cross) keeping one eye open while snoozing to make sure her human hasn't gone anywhere.

Stepping into the tub she sits down, her breath taken away momentarily as she immerses herself in the piping hot water. She sighs as she slips under the water, rests her head on the edge of the bath and closes her eyes. After soaking for a little while she reaches over to the bottle of Dove Go Fresh Grapefruit and Lemongrass Scent Energise Beauty Body Wash. Squeezing a dollop onto her hand she rubs her palms together. A tangy aroma hits her nostrils, a citrus smell catches in her throat - almost a little too strong. She proceeds to rub the gel over her body, discovering a little goes a long way. Washing off the body wash her skin feels soft and smooth. Relaxing in the tub, watching swirls of stream rise above her, with not a sound to be heard except for the ripple of the bath water, the world could almost fade away and she could imagine lying here forever (or at least until the water gets cold!)

When the time comes she steps out of the bath, dries off and gets dressed. She hears the front door open - her boyfriend is home. The dogs crazy with excitement. The peace and quiet is long gone. Throughout the evening the pleasant fragrence of lemon wafts around her, reminding her of the hour of relaxation, now a distant but wonderful memory.

L'Oreal Elvive Test Drive

I have just given the Loreal Elvive range of Shampoo and Conditioner a test drive. The product I used was the Loreal Elvive Nutri-Gloss Illuminating Shampoo for Normal, Dull and Lifeless Hair with Pearl Protein.

Active ingredients provide hair fibre with targeted and balanced nutrition to smooth cuticles and enhance hair texture, promoting sleekness."

Pearl Protein is the fad at the moment - every product I buy seems to be enriched with Pearl Protein. My hair is generally dry-normal and I need to use product when styling otherwise I get flyaways and it goes a bit frizzy. I prefer shampoos and conditioner with a thick consistency. I didn't have high hopes for the product at first, it wasn't as thick as I'd normally like. The smell is very nice, not too strong.

After using the shampoo and conditioner I blow dried my hair without using any product. As mentioned earlier I usually need to use a smoothing product to stop my hair frizzing. After drying my hair there was no frizzyness or flyaways. I was very surpised at how "styable" my hair was after using this product without the need for any styling product.

I tend to think that no matter what the bottle says, all shampoos and conditioners are the same except for the smell. I was very pleasantly surpised by this product and would be great to use it frequently.

Make Your Eyes Flutter

Back in February Spehora, along with Make Up Forever, held a 'Lash Pimpin Contest' looking for the most extravagant set of eyelashes out there. Well they have finally announced the winner (photo above). They are out of this world! Winner, Oxana Sandoval says "I knew I wanted to create a wonderland, a fantasy world. Feathers to me represent joy, happiness, fun, and excitement. By pairing them with rhinestones, I was able to create a 'dream' eyelash."
