Dermatology Inspired

"French perfumery chain and beauty brand Sephora (LVMH) is launching its first dermatologist-inspired skincare range, dubbed Skinbeauty by Sephora. The range, a do-it-yourself face peel treatment and serum, was developed over two years in collaboration with the creators of Swiss cosmeceutical brand Alchimie Forever (Forever Laser Institute).

“Sephora wanted to enter dermatology-inspired skincare,” Alchimie Forever’s Dr Barbara Polla tells CosmeticNews. “The idea was to give women a full peeling treatment that they could do themselves at home.”

Skinbeauty comprises a True Radiance Peel kit which includes eight monodoses each of a cleanser and exfoliating peel serum, moisturizing face massage cream and the Perfecting Serum, which can be used after the face peel or separately. Skinbeauty will launch exclusively in Sephora stores in Europe in spring 2009."

Make Your Eyes Flutter

Back in February Spehora, along with Make Up Forever, held a 'Lash Pimpin Contest' looking for the most extravagant set of eyelashes out there. Well they have finally announced the winner (photo above). They are out of this world! Winner, Oxana Sandoval says "I knew I wanted to create a wonderland, a fantasy world. Feathers to me represent joy, happiness, fun, and excitement. By pairing them with rhinestones, I was able to create a 'dream' eyelash."

I just love this! I was reading through the latest mail to drop into my inbox and came across this contest being run through Sephora. It's a Lash Pimpin' contest. They are looking for the most extravagant eyelashes out there. You can use anything to pimp them out. On offer, for the best set of eyelashes, is a trip to Paris to visit the Make Up Forever Academy and have a private lesson with Dany Sanz, found of Make Up Forever, as well as $1000 worth of Make Up Forever products.
