I often get very dry skin on my face, especially in winter. So I have been looking around for a foundation that, instead of making my dry spots more noticeable, covers them up. I came across the Dermacia.com website. You may have heard or seen it before. Ex-model, Rachel Hunter, is the spokesmodel and the products have been featured in magazines like Glamour, Vogue, Cosmopolitan, Allure and others.
Now for a bit of technical talk - Dermacia is a silica, gel based foundation. It is the first (so their website says) to contain Lycogel Complex with LYCD - a formula that allows the skin to breathe by increasing the amount of oxygen that reaches the skin.
A lot of cosmetics contain alcohol based preservatives which can decrease oxygen, leading to irritation and breakouts. This particular brand was previously only available through licensed dermatologists and estheticians but now everyone can have access to it through their website. It claims to be able to help cover conditions such as rosacea, acne, uneven skin tone, scars, sensitive sin and psoriasis.
Some of the good features about the products are:

- Non Comedogenic (Means won't block pores).
- Hypoallergenic (Means it will cause fewer allergic reactions).
